About

The Archives & Special Collections department acts as the official repository for Valparaiso University by collecting, organizing, preserving, and providing access to historical university records and supports the Christopher Center for Library and Information Resources' mission by providing access to and discovery of special collections to students, faculty, staff, scholars, patrons from other institutions, and the community in general.

Digital Collections

  • Valparaiso University Digital Collections (CONTENTdm)
    Valparaiso University Digital Collections showcases digitized versions of materials held in our Archives, Special Collections, and Rare Books. Includes yearbooks dating back to the 1890s and school newspapers dating back to 1914.
  • ValpoScholar- University Archives & Special Collections
    Our digitized scholarly communications (theses, journals published by the university, student projects, etc.) resources can be found on our sister site, ValpoScholar.
  • Digital Collections Index
    Valparaiso University Digital Collections showcases digitized versions of materials held in our Archives, Special Collections, and Rare Books. These collections are housed in both of the Archives and Special Collections' platforms.
