Reserves

Searching for Course Reserves: From the library catalog, click on the Course Reserves button. Choose to search by either Course or Instructor name. Each reserved item has its own loan period, set by the requesting instructor. The reserved material may be a book, an article, a DVD, or a VHS tape. Circulation personnel will be glad to guide you through should you need assistance.

Placing materials on Course Reserve: Valparaiso University faculty are encouraged to use our online reserve form to place materials on reserve. At the time of the request, please also choose the loan period: 2-hour library use only, 2-hour overnight, 3 days, or 1 week. For more information, or if you are interested in eReserves, please contact Shannon Howe directly at (219) 464-5168 or via email.

eBooks: The Library has a large collection of eBooks. We recommend searching our eBook collection to see if your desired title is available before placing a reserve request.

Copiers and Copying

There are three copiers available in Christopher Center, one each on the 2nd-4th floors. The second floor copier cannot accept cash, but students can use it for the free service of scanning items to PDF and emailing them. Cash can be used with the third and fourth floor copiers, costing ten cents per copied page. By using Beacon Bucks, Valparaiso University students, staff, and faculty receive a discounted cost of seven cents per copied page. Approved Valparaiso University departments and organizations may charge to their accounts; inquire at the Circulation Desk for details.
